The iconic 1994 album ‘Selected Ambient Works Volume II’ has recently been reissued in a deluxe edition

Aphex Twin’s freshly expanded ‘Selected Ambient Works Volume II’ gets a listening session at the Tate Modern today, offering fans a unique way to experience the album’s celebrated soundscapes.

Warp Records has announced that the free event will run from 18:30 today in the Blavatnik Building as part of the Tate Modern Lates series, allowing visitors to simply drop in and enjoy it.

This deluxe reissue of the album includes special features like a fold-out poster, a sticker sheet and a booklet of original artwork sketches by designer Paul Nicholson. Each copy of the album is a unique made-to-order piece, complete with a hinged oak case and etched copper plate, and launched on October 4. Formats for the reissue include a 4-LP set, a 3-CD set and a collector’s 4-LP box set.

In keeping with the gallery’s exploration of electronic music, Midland will also perform at Tate Modern the following night for AVA Festival, continuing the music-focused momentum.

Warp Records has provided an update regarding today’s listening experience: “This event is free to attend, but a ticket is needed to guarantee entry. Booking opens 14:00 BST, Friday 25 October via Tate's website.”
