An exhibition set to explore the vibrant roots of acid house and the evolution of rave culture in Liverpool is inviting contributions from those who lived the experience.

Scheduled to launch in Liverpool next January, Rave On will delve into the city’s club scene from 1987 to 1999, showcasing its transformative role in shaping dance music culture.

The exhibition aims to celebrate the “people, places, and communities that defined those unforgettable dancefloors,” offering a vivid look into Liverpool’s rave legacy.

Following its initial display, the exhibition will become a permanent fixture at the Museum of Youth Culture, which is supporting this tribute to Liverpool’s underground scene.

Reaching out for submissions of photographs, flyers, ticket stubs, posters and memorabilia, curator Ezra McConachie says: “Submissions are now open to anyone and everyone. We want to see your pictures, hear your stories and bring back those memories. Share it far and wide.”
