Alessio De Vecchi, the artistic genius behind Anyma, has carved a notable path in the world of digital and 3D art. Born in Milan, De Vecchi pursued Industrial Design at the Istituto Europeo di Design. His career began at Fabio Novembre's studio before moving to New York in 2006, where he collaborated with renowned designer Karim Rashid. This period marked a significant shift in his focus towards blending aesthetics with technology, ultimately leading him to work with high-profile clients like Adidas, HBO, LG, and H&M.
In 2021, De Vecchi teamed up with Matteo Milleri, one half of the famed techno duo Tale Of Us, to co-found Anyma. This project fuses music with cutting-edge digital art, producing immersive visual experiences that accompany Milleri's melodic techno performances. Anyma's works are not only part of live shows but also exist as coveted NFTs, bridging the gap between digital art and the traditional music scene.
De Vecchi's visual designs for Anyma have been widely praised for their intricate, dreamlike quality. His creations often explore themes of human relationships and societal anxieties, rendered in highly detailed 3D animations. One of his notable works includes "La Pietà," inspired by Michelangelo’s sculpture, which reinterprets the iconic imagery within a futuristic context, merging human and robotic elements to profound effect. This visual storytelling approach is a hallmark of Anyma’s performances, offering audiences a unique and emotionally resonant experience.
Recently, Anyma's audio-visual narrative reached new heights with the announcement of “The End of Genesys” show at Sphere in Las Vegas. De Vecchi's designs for this show have been highlighted for their innovative use of 3D graphics and animations that sync seamlessly with the music, creating a multisensory journey. The word “the end” in the title of the event remains an intriguing choice, symbolising not a conclusion but a metamorphosis, heralding a bold new chapter for Anyma and Alessio De Vecchi.
