The two-part album “Beginning” showcases a fusion of classical and electronic music
The recent two-part album and A/V project titled “Beginning” by NIN3S, the alter ego of Spanish producer UNER (real name Manu García) marks a significant new chapter in his creative journey. This ambitious release is divided into two distinct parts: “The Creation” which features nine original piano compositions, and “The Revision” an electronic interpretation of the same compositions.
NIN3S describes the project as a dual exploration of his musical identity, stating, "The first version was the piano version – the other one is like the 'other side' of NIN3S, taking my background in electronic music and giving it a different perspective. It's like Ying and Yang, day and night – different energies and, of course, two different versions for the live show that allow me to play the same track from a completely different perspective."
"Beginning" is an ethereal sonic journey that delves into the essence of human nature, expressed across two 9-track collections. The project is further elevated by a live A/V show that pushes the boundaries of traditional performance, offering an acoustically and visually immersive experience. This show is a testament to NIN3S' reputation as one of Spain's most forward-thinking artists, delivering something both fresh and unexpected.
Reflecting on the project, NIN3S adds, "NIN3S was a new beginning – the beginning and the end at the same time; it is the most 'me' in terms of music, composition and personality. No boundaries, not defined by gigs and clubbing, not defined by anything but to make music from the soul. It's been a very gentle process of composing on my piano and letting the feelings flow, thinking about every single step of the 'creation' and giving the entire composition personality through every moment of the event."
With "The Revision" providing an electronic counterpart to these compositions, the full scope of NIN3S' artistic vision is now realised. This double album captures the duality of creation, with the electronic tracks offering a new perspective through expansive soundscapes, growling basslines, and intricate synth work. Together, "Beginning" showcases NIN3S' artistry in its purest form, both as a sonic experience and as a story told through music.
NIN3S, the latest alias of renowned electronic music producer UNER, marks a significant evolution in his already illustrious career. With a classical background in Music Theory and Piano, and a Summa Cum Laude degree in the Art of Mixing from Berklee College of Music, NIN3S represents a fusion of electronic and classical compositions. This shift in artistic direction began in 2019 after composing his first full soundtrack for a Polish drama film, leading to several international projects in film scoring and orchestral composition.
As UNER, he made a name for himself on the global electronic scene, debuting in 2009 on Solomun's Diynamic label, and later remixing electronic music icon Laurent Garnier in 2015. His debut album "Tune 432" on Diynamic showcased his personal artistic growth, earning him critical acclaim, awards, and a place among the top artists on Resident Advisor's charts. Now, with over 25 years in the industry, NIN3S sees him blending his extensive experience in electronic music with his passion for neoclassical composition, creating a unique artistic vision that connects music with other art forms.
