From ‘Apollo’ to ‘Voyager’, Hannes Bieger’s track titles in his latest album ‘Galaxies’ evoke a cosmic journey
Hannes Bieger’s latest album, ‘Galaxies’, is a sonic voyage. With nine emotive compositions, it takes listeners on an interstellar journey, mirroring the mysteries of space.
Bieger’s creative process was shaped by his new studio, where he broke free from stylistic constraints. This freedom led to tracks like ‘Black Hole’, a defining piece that laid the foundation for his imprint. The album explores existential themes, positioning love as the force binding the universe. This sentiment is strongest in ‘Hawa’, where Moroccan vocalist Walead’s poetic lyrics, influenced by Sufi traditions, amplify the track’s celestial essence.
Each track embodies Bieger’s fascination with the unknown. From the dreamy ascent of ‘Apollo’ to the hypnotic synth layers of ‘Meteor’, the album evokes space travel. ‘Stardust,’ featuring Icelandic singer FEY, radiates delicate yet propulsive energy, while ‘Voyager’ closes with cinematic introspection. Carefully sequenced, the album transitions from melodic depth to club-ready intensity, balancing exploration and discovery.
This thematic duality extends to the album artwork, a striking fusion of cosmic grandeur and geometric precision. The cover juxtaposes planetary orbs with layered structures, symbolising movement and order. Its sci-fi aesthetic reflects his interplay between organic flow and meticulous craftsmanship. Glowing celestial bodies suspended in an architectural framework capture the tension between chaos and structure.

Set against a star-speckled expanse, the artwork reinforces the album’s exploration of infinity and the unknown. Transparency, reflection and light lend it a holographic effect, aligning with trends in generative and digital art. Beyond a visual companion, the artwork transforms ‘Galaxies’ into a multidimensional experience, linking speculative architecture with astrophysical wonder.
The album was also performed live in collaboration with the Costa Rica Philharmonic Orchestra.
